- Working in Brighton for Public-i designing and developing public facing sites. Whilst working for Public-I, I updated and maintained existing systems whilst developing new ones. The company produces democratic involvement tools for local councils in the UK and Europe. One major project I managed was the creation of an e-petitioning system for Bristol Council that was developed using XHTML & CSS with a PHP and SQL backend. I managed the project and completed all tasks from inception to launch.

- Whilst working for Tiscali in London I managed the day to day running of the business portal as well as implementing upgrades and extra functionality. I added a customer extranet to deal with accounts, billing and faults. I also worked on the consumer portal designing micro sites, marketing assets and promotional items. I had to have a good eye to spot improvements and opportunities with our sites and had ample opportunity to practice my skills in XHTML, CSS and PHP.

- I worked for the NHS support organisation that provided IT and HR support to all the major NHS organisations in West Sussex. This included 5 Primary Care Trusts, one Mental Health Trust & two support consortia. I worked in a small team developing public, intranet & standalone sites. Usability and accessibility issues were very important to the NHS so I am very familiar with the methods laws and regulations surrounding accessibility compliance.
