The Basics of Indian Head Massage
"The condition and growth of my hair has seen a visible difference" - Andrew, Brighton
The principles of Indian Head Massage are based on the ancient healing art of Ayurveda, which has been practiced in India for thousands of years. The word, roughly translated, means "Knowledge of Life", and its aim is to keep the body's 'life energy' flowing correctly, healing on a spiritual level as well as a physical one. The massage itself uses a range of strokes, concentrating on specific acupressure points in the head and upper body, to heal, relax and rejuvenate.
The Treatment
"I found the sessions very relaxing and felt a sense of tension release." - Ali, Shoreham
Your Indian Head Massage will take place in an upright seated position, allowing the therapist access to your head and upper torso. Your muscles can then be kneaded and stroked with a variety of movements, including lighter manipulations on the face, for a deeply enjoyable experience.
The treatment, including the personal consultation, will last approximately 45 minutes.
