I am tall, in case you're wondering. I also design things, so I should be easy to remember as I loom over you sketching out an interface for your project.

I'm a UX Designer or User Experience Designer if I'm feeling long winded. It sounds like one of those made up jobs doesn't it? Like Telephone Sanitisers from the B Ark. Unlike Douglas Adams's useless layer of middle management however, I make a real difference to the users of digital systems. Rather than deal with twenty possible options by putting twenty buttons on screen, I'll talk to users and find out which button they are most likely to press and highlight that, reducing complexity but keeping less used functions available for power users.

I've worked for KPMG, Direct Line, Talk Talk, NHS, Tiscali and a host of others where I learned to think on my feet, to stay focussed on the user, not on the loudest personality in the business, to test early and often with real people and above all else to keep it simple.

You can have a look at my CV if you'd like, it's pretty long and filled with many technical terms, but sums up my experience quite well. I've also some portfolio pieces I can send you if you're looking to hire me, just ask.
